ok I know there is a thread already about this subject but I figured I should make a post about this since I am really into this stuff, and have some things to offer. this will be a bit of a long post sorry about that.

Im not like registered or anything but I am an fairly decent GM/DM and I have run several cames in the past that include BESM D20 (it means Big Eyes Small Mouth and is a great generic Anime game). Changeling and Vampire from Whitewolf are also games I have run, and I mean the old versions of the game not the newer ones.

I have access to a few books and I will list them.
BESM 20 book (I unfortunately dont have the main D20 book but it is still possible to run the game without that with some improvising)
Changeling the Dreaming White wolf 2nd Edition (I love this game)
Mummy The Resurrection White wolf (I have never run this game)
Sailormoon Tri Stat source book (never run this and don't have main tri stat book)
I have a GURPS book somewhere but I dont know where and I have never run it.

I can run vampire from whitewolf but I dont have any books for it.

I am willing to both run and play games if anyone is interested. I havent had the chance to do it for a few years so I might be a bit rusty but it's like riding a bike lol.

I am also of course willing to play in games too if someone else wants to run.

I have never played D&D and since it's kind of the corner stone of rpg I really need to fix that.

Games I have been a player in are:
Changeling the dreaming second edition
Vampire the masquerade (2nd and 3rd ed)
Werewolf the Apocalypse (not sure what edition)
BESM D20
Shadowrun (not sure what version)
Star Wars D20

I am wiling to try anything Smile
I'm also a GM, but haven't done it in forever due to lack of time.

Registered? I didn't realize there was an officiating body for GM/DMs.

I've at least had a run in with most every game you've listed there. Personally I'm a huge fan of BESM (Tri-stat, not the D20) and I have an electronic copy of the 3rd edition rules that were released right as Guardians of Order went out of business. I may be able to share it since the book hasn't been in print for over 2 years and I'm not 100% sure that anyone owns the rights to it now.

I will admit though, there is one advantage to the D20 system, and that's simplicity of character creation. It does allow you some freedom, but things are a lot more streamlined and it makes it faster but a little less free to create exactly the character you want.

I may have a chat with you later about GM'ing something since I really don't have the time to try to get a game together, but we've had a lot of people wanting to do something like this for awhile now.
That would be awesome. I can't say that ever been in an official set-up rpg like the ones mentioned, and I'm very interested in getting into one, if anyone's running one or wanting to run one.
D20 has its faults as well. I mean you have a 1 in 20 chance of killing yourself when you cook toast (lol JK)

Actually I have a lot of game ideas I would love to run and I have plenty of time to run them at the moment.

The cool thing about BESM is there is no set story other then whatever can happen in anime. I got lots of ideas Smile

Heh, yeah, that's why I don't care for d20 too much. It also just seems a lot more confined in the way the stats are set up (funny that I say that considering I'm also a fan of the fusion and interlock systems) as opposed to the tri-stat system. You are right though, that is one of the great things about BESM is that it is entirely up to the GM to create the world.
a lot of the game comes down to whos running it and the quality of the players.

As cluncky as D20 is I have been in and run many successful and run games with the system. I know it pretty well I think, so Im sure I could easily do it again with the right people.
