Anime Links

Here you will find a collection of links the staff believe to be important to any anime fan. This page will be updated as new links are found and reviewed by the staff.

AnimeNFO
A great site for anime or manga information, including nearly any series that's been out for more than a month or so. Basic access does not require an account, but an account allows you to post reviews, receive and send messages with other users, and creating your own (fairly extensive) anime and manga database.

AniDB
An alternative site to AnimeNFO, AniDB provides some slightly different information (mainly pertaining to fansub groups). Although it has not been confirmed, the functionality seems to be nearly the same.

Anime News Network (ANN)
The Anime News Network is the definitive site for anime and manga related news as well as information regarding anime voice casting and production and licensing information for both the English (if existant) and Japanese versions of an anime. It also includes an extensive encyclopedia of producers, voice actors/actresses, production companies, manga, anime and manga related events, and many other things.

AnimeSuki
AnimeSuki is a site specifically for Anime BitTorrents (for an explanation of what a torrent is, please see the related Wikipedia article). While they only list anime which is unlicensed in America, this allows them to operate within American copyright laws making all their downloads perfectly legal (in most cases). Anime Kanarazu recommends the µtorrent client (Windows) or Azureus BitTorrent Client(Mac/Linux) for use with AnimeSuki.

AnimeBlogger Antenna
The AB Antenna is a blog aggregator, and allows you to search through hundreds of blogs at once. These blogs are a good way to find out about trends and news in the anime world before they happen.

MiniTokyo
Minitokyo is a great site if you're looking for anime wallpapers and scans. They have one of the largest selections on the internet, and often times they have larger resolutions for those of you (like Ace) who run at a resolution greater than 1024x768. Although your downloads per day are limited and you do have to sign up for their services, it is well worth it in the long run.

Deviant Art
Deviant Art, although not directly an anime related site, has some of the best amatuer anime artists around. Also, their basic services are free, so if you are an artist of any sort, you may consider signing up for an account with them.

Konachan
Konachan is an image board that focuses on high-quality desktop wallpapers and images for making wallpapers. It uses a tag system for navigating which is identical to those seen in its sister site Danbooru

Anime Weekend Atlanta

Katsucon

MTAC
Tennessee's largest and only anime convention, the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention is held in Nashville, TN during April of each year

Otakon
The one and only Otakon, held in Baltimore, MD each July.

Nekocon
